The New Jersey Association of the Deaf-Blind, Inc. (NJADB) is proud to shine the Spotlight on one of our employees Dotun Osholowu. He has been employed with our agency since 2006, first as a Switchboard Operator in the East Orange, NJ Veteran’s Hospital. A year later he became a full time Sales Associate in our Company Store at the world headquarters of Merck, and has since been promoted to a new position as a Mail Clerk working in an IRS facility.
Dotun’s story is an inspiration to all.

New Technology: The DeafBlind Communicator
Published Tuesday, June 8, 2010HumanWare, in partnership with the Washington State Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH), has developed a new deaf-blind communication system. The DeafBlind Communicator (DBC) provides three types of communication for deafblind users: face-to-face, TTY, and SMS Texting. This device is easy to carry so that users may bring it with them wherever they travel.
