Updates on NJADB's Human Resources Department
The Human Resources department is pleased to announce that Kathleen Sheehy has joined NJADB as our Recruiter. Kathleen has been with us since January, assisting our agency by recruiting new staff.
Over the past few months, HR has begun introducing new employee recognition programs. These programs include our Employee Star program, where employees recognize co-workers for instances of outstanding services provided. NJADB Directors will evaluate these nominations and select one winner each month to win a $100 gift card. Any nominee who does not win the gift card will receive points to be exchanged for prizes.
HR has also introduced First Monday, a social hour held on the first Monday of each month. These gatherings allow employees a chance to get to know their fellow co-workers and each are hosted by Human Resources and include breakfast, lunch or refreshments themed to the time of year. January for instance, we enjoyed hot chocolate and scones! The hour that First Monday is held switches from one month to another in order to allow employees with different schedules a chance to participate in the program.
Our co-worker Recognition Program is NJADB’s way of thanking employees for a job well done. Each month will feature a different trait highlighted by our agency. The trait for the month of March is teamwork. To recognize a co-worker, employees are encouraged to fill out the Recognition card and submit it to HR. NJADB will draw the names of these recognized employees at each First Monday gathering. One winner from the drawings per month will receive a gift card.
Soon yoga classes will be offered for all interested staff as part of our Wellness Initiative. NJADB’s Human Resources department is excited to introduce these new programs to our agency’s valuable team members.
