The New Jersey Association of the Deaf-Blind, Inc. (NJADB) is proud to shine the Spotlight on one of our employees Dotun Osholowu. He has been employed with our agency since 2006, first as a Switchboard Operator in the East Orange, NJ Veteran’s Hospital. A year later he became a full time Sales Associate in our Company Store at the world headquarters of Merck, and has since been promoted to a new position as a Mail Clerk working in an IRS facility.
Dotun’s story is an inspiration to all.
New Jersey's First National Beep Baseball Association Team
Published Wednesday, June 16, 2010The New Jersey Lightening, the first National Beep Baseball Association team of the state, has formed in Matawan, New Jersey. The team is comprised of visually impaired players who utilize the beeping softball and bases to play competitive baseball.

Save Your Vision Month
Published Friday, March 5, 2010For over eighty years March has been declared Save Your Vision Month by the American Optometric Association (AOA). The organization hopes to raise awareness among Americans of the importance of regular eye examinations. Comprehensive examinations done on a regular basis can help to maintain both healthy eyes and healthy vision. By dedicating one month to making people aware of these issues, the AOA hopes that individuals will make it a priority to care for their vision throughout the year.
COAT: Coalition of Organizations for Accessible Technology

The Coalition of Organizations for Accessible Technology (COAT) was founded in 2007 to advocate for legislative and regulatory safeguards. This coalition strives to ensure that there is full access by people with disabilities to evolving technologies such as, though not limited to, high speed broadband and wireless connections.
