The organization hopes to raise awareness among Americans of the importance of regular eye examinations. Comprehensive examinations done on a regular basis can help to maintain both healthy eyes and healthy vision. By dedicating one month to making people aware of these issues, the AOA hopes that individuals will make it a priority to care for their vision throughout the year.
