Employment Services provides the opportunity for people with disabilities to access meaningful and gainful employment as well as workplace readiness and skills training. Access to various employment opportunities is achieved through adaptive equipment and technology.
Our-Co Industries
Our-Co provides training support and job opportunities to people who are deaf-blind and developmentally disabled. A staff of Critical Co-workers work along side with people in need of support with skill development and in performing job responsibilities. Our-Co is a small business, manufacturing its own product line as well as offering a variety of business services to the community.

NJADB contracts with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities to provide services.
Switchboard Operations
NJADB offers employment opportunities to people who are blind and visually impaired as Operators at the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ. NJADB manages the Switchboard Operations for two VA Hospitals and multiple care facilities. With the use of adaptive equipment and technology, all of the functions of the switchboard including internal transfers, cardiac arrest and blood bank monitoring, Doctor's on-call schedules and customer service, are accessible to people who are blind.

NJADB contracts with the NJ Healthcare Systems Veteran Association to provide switchboard services.
Company Stores
NJADB also offers employment opportunities to people who are blind and visually impaired as Sales Associates at our Company Stores. The Company Stores are retail shops that serve as a convenience to the employees of the corporations that house them. Cards, gifts, balloons, candy, company logo items, sundries, newspapers and magazines are just a few of the items sold at our stores located at Merck & Co. Inc. and at Conoco Phillips.
Funding
Contracts with individual companies are created to meet each location's needs. The primary goal of each location is to provide employment opportunities to people with vision impairments. Any profits are filtered back to the agency to support its mission.
IRS Mailroom
NJADB manages the mailroom operations for the IRS in Springfield, NJ. Through the use of adaptive equipment, people who are blind and visually impaired are hired as mailroom associates. The functions of the mailroom are made accessible through the use of adaptive equipment.
