Become a Volunteer.
NJADB needs caring people throughout New Jersey to help improve the quality
of life for people who are deaf and/or blind.
We need a wide variety of skills. And we can offer our volunteers the opportunity to learn even more great skills - for instance, how to use American Sign Language.
Please join our team. Help others. And enjoy rewarding experiences in return.
How You Can Help.
As a volunteer you can help people who are deaf and/or blind by:
Assisting with transportation.
Making social visits.
Participating in social activities.
Doing crafts.
Taking day trips to Atlantic City.
Helping with daily living needs - clothes shopping, food shopping, banking,
etc.
NJADB also needs volunteers who are specialists to serve on our committees -
a human rights committee, a business advisory group and our board of trustees.
